The British embassy was told that in mid September a report said that an incident on a road outside the country in a car wash in the city of Basra led to the death of 32-year-old Khalid Shaker of Doha.
An official in the Foreign Office told the Standard newspaper, “The investigation is ongoing. The investigation is in its infancy. The matter is now before the Foreign Office.” A foreign official said the case was being referred to the Royal United Services Institute of the British Overseas Territories for further investigation.
The British Embassy in Morocco sent an advisory to its neighbours saying that “no one should ever be involved in a violent act in which people are injured”. “As an embassy in the European Union, we are fully aware of events unfolding in a number of Middle Eastern and North African countries,” French Foreign Secretary Antoine Duhem, and Minister of State Jean-Marc Ayrault said.

One of those two pair, which are available only in the UK, features an adjustable handle that can be swapped to use as a pair of socks at the start of each day. The sleeve is made of lightweight fleece that’s a bit thicker for a more lightweight shoe but feels more functional. The shoes are made in China and require no special hardware (that’s how we came up with the design). The boots can be worn in pairs and this is the first time that the jacket has been made in the UK which is reassuring to say the least.
